Zelie: Half a year

Our half year stats are as follows:

Get in my belly, sign!

14 lbs 9 oz | 25 in | 1 tooth
Currently, she has changed her mind about her affection for cereal. She has ONE tooth but sleeps like she's working on the remaining 20 some. I've had a few lovely nights of sleep until 5 so I guess I can't totally complain.

Even though her 4 month appointment said she was in the 95th% for height, her 6 month now has her at the 15th%. Figure that one out. The good doctor said it's because if you're off a fraction of an inch it can throw the percentiles by a lot. But she is 50% for her height to weight ratio. As these appointments go, she had to get shots. I was a pathetic mess and couldn't believe that I'd gotten Max through all of his without melting down. My patheticism was so clear that the doctor literally showed me a card trick while we were waiting for the nurse to come back and do the shots. I was being distracted! You can imagine my humiliation that wouldn't give way to calm no matter how clever the trick. She actually did a great job and cried very little.

Insert shameless photo filler.
Zelie and her bestie insisted on being photographed in their matching lounge wear.
Evelyn is a wopping 2 months and almost the same size as Bells.
At great-grandpa Bob's 85th birthday celebration.
Colt (left) is the most recent great-grand before Zel.
Max is a mighty brother/warrior.

Another notable fact is that Zelie is now leaving the "supported sitter" category for the "sometimes-falls-face-first-into-toys-but-can-otherwise-handle-herself-without-support sitter." She also scoots in a circle and proves right the phrase "a watched pot never boils" because we have yet to see her maneuvering but know it to be true as she has almost completely relocated when left for a few minutes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, where did my baby go?!"

  1. What a cutie!! Great job on the tooth- Amelia fusses night and day but can't break hers through. All pain, no gain. Please don't be completely grown up before I can see you again little Bells!
