Today marks the first day of my self-renovation. I've just gotten back from the Y's Express Fitness. My husband and baby are still in bed (is the world upside down?) and I can eat a bowl of oatmeal in happy silence. Not that I don't enjoy their company but a person needs an ittle bit of quiet time to get the day started right. I'm liking this. A lot.
Here's what I was visualizing as my dear mother who kindly carpooled me to the gym said, "I see you thin."
No more hiding behind Max and his blanky in pictures.
A wardrobe that is no longer temperamental.
Less breakdowns in front of mirrors (bedroom, bathroom, department store, car reflections, etc.)
An overall happier and less dramatic me. (maybe less dramatic)
More energy.
A cleaner house as a result of more energy.
World peace.
Well, I may be getting ahead of myself but you get the point.
Enjoy your Feast of the Immaculate Conception and don't forget to make it to Mass!
Cheers!
(Yes. To answer your question. I do wish I were British.)
you go girl! And you're beautiful---no more break downs in front of the mirror : ) Can't wait to see you this morning!
ReplyDeleteYay you for!! I've been contemplating my renovation too...I did so well after Jack was born, but I'm creeping back to "freaky" (as Jack would say) territory...haha.
ReplyDeletehaha! Jack says freaky?
ReplyDeletei just wanted to tell you that my word recognition for the last comment i left you was "ringspat." I don't know why I think that's funny, but I thought you might think so too. haha If we were british I think "ringspat" would be a word you and I would use. Probably a noun. I see you thin too and I remember your house as clean. And I'm glad to hear(/read?) you got to enjoy silent early morning oatmeal! It's the little things... Love you!
ReplyDeleteyes, Jack says freaky. He's kind of a scaredy cat. Like certain things he sees will make him squint his eyes and say "freeakky"...Bruce, the Shark on Finding Nemo, Ursula on Little Mermaid, certain sounds...like when the furnace kicks on sometimes and if he's standing right next to it...Lol. He's quite the character and talking our ears off!
