A very feliz Lent to you all!
You've gotta chuckle a little when people say Happy Lent or Happy Ash Wednesday. There's just something ironic about wishing people happiness while their painfully denying themselves.
Anyway, I'm just warning you that March may look a lot like February as far as blogging goes because Max is sick again. Our poor baby is coughing up a storm and just clingy and sad looking all the time. However, he did sleep for 12 hours last night (during which time I checked his temperature and breathing patterns frequently).
An exciting change is that he is standing for several seconds when we let go of his hands. I have a feeling he may be walking before he turns 1!
Now I have GOT to share what Kelby did the other night. It was Ash Wednesday and we had blueberry muffins with our macaroni and cheese. Kelby lurrrves muffins. Well, we had given Max a couple of pieces of muffin which of course got everywhere but in his mouth. As we were cleaning up after dinner I observe Kelby reach down into Max's dirty high chair, pluck a smashed blueberry muffin piece and, without hesitation, gleefully pop it in his mouth. I shrieked with shock, disgust, and laughter. Still, Kelby unabashedly defended his move stating, "I love my blueberry muffins." I guess this is what we've come to.
And if you're looking for something crazy but cleansing to do for Lent, check this out. I'm pretty sure I would fail miserably but it wouldn't be a bad idea!
Hasta lumbego!
