Didja miss us?

My apologies to Uncle John and Aunt Mel and all the other people out there dying for their daily dose of Smaximilian! You'd think we went to a new continent and then used that as an excuse to be behind in life for 2 whole weeks before snapping back to reality. You.Would.Think.

So there are all sorts of little snippits hither and thither that I will attempt to fill you in on since the last time we all got together. I will do my best to be short and sweet in the word category and over-the-top in pics.

Clearly maintaining an exercise regimen and ingraining it into young minds

Though we've been interviewing contractors, the kitchen is still the ugliest room in the house.

Anne and I completed our 5K in just under 30 minutes. 

We were excited.

Grandma Barb came bearing gifts to watch Max for the first few days of our big trip.

After Grandma and Grandpa H kept him, Aunt Melly took the last leg and loved on her nephew.

Who loved on her doggie, Beau.

Then we were greeted with this and a sweet baby boy at the airport.

Then we spent days and days doing things like this:

If there's ever a question of where Max has gone, you just go to the basement where he will be sitting in the dark on the couch or game chair with a blanket pulled up to his neck. He's such an old man.
