A Toddler's Vocabulary

I've been meaning to make a list of all of Max's words as we experience the evolution of his language skills. Normally, I  don't think about where Max is "at" in reference to other kids nor do I treat him like a science project introducing products like this one in order to take advantage of his current brain capacity. But it must be the linguist in me that has been fascinated by his increasing vocabulary and signs of comprehension. I realize from the outside looking in that it seems like Max is speaking gibberish, and the majority of it still is, but we're really establishing a verbal communication here at 401.

The following list is in no particular acquisition order

tee................teeth
no.................no (short)
no-o.............nose
eye-e............eye
mou-u...........mouth
dain du..........thank you
pwee.............please
bumbee.........tummy
bee but..........belly button
daw...............sock(s)
choo..............shoe
peen..............plain
pwee pwee...pretty pretty (referencing jewelry)
daddy...........really you want me to tell you this one?
mommy........the single most important vocalization in his language
dot...............Scott
doe..............Joe
aa-ee............Annie
ma-ee...........Melly
jee-zuh..........Jesus
may-ee..........Mary
deez...............cheese
kee-ee............kitty
may-men........amen
den.................Gen
chickee...........chicken nuggets (with much enthusiasm)
dun dun...........all done
byee byee........Bye bye
And there are many more but these are a few of his frequent utterings.

And now for your viewing delight....
