Memorable Memorial

Apparently, babies are more interesting than adults. My apologies to Grandpa B, Grandma B, Lindsey, and Jack for not having a single dead-on picture of you. I hope you understand that the grandkids are currently, and will probably always be the focal point of most of our pictures. I'm sure you were treated as such in your toddlerdom.

Max had some serious quality time with his cousins Jackson and Brooklyn over the weekend. Between 3 cameras, I don't think we successfully captured one appropriate picture of all three of the kids. On the bright side, we really enjoyed getting to play with our little nephew and niece. Oh and Jack and Lindsey and Barb and Bernie too. You'll have to refer to Lindsey's blog for more pictures because I guess I only cared about pajama time.

A sweet display of cousinly affection.

Sweet Baby B

2 months apart and oh so happy to play

This pretty well sums up the craziness with 3 babies.

Imprisoned in the porch.
They wanted desperately to play "ow-siii."
Jackson kept saying " 'mon!" and pulling at the locked door.

Kelby's mom's side of the family has an annual golf tournament and this was the 15th year. While Kelby, Barb, and Bernie headed to Manhattan to golf, I stuck around Topeka and played more with the babies and Jack and Lindsey.

Ok we didn't play. We talked but it was just as fun!

Excuse the interruption.

Anyway, after the tourney, Max and I headed to Skiddy, America. (Yes, Skiddy.) Home of the Stilwell Family and their amazing barn.

Max even won a prize!

Loving the outdoors.

Only a little terrified of the giant animals.
Look closely, and you can see the death grip he has on my hip with his legs.

A beautiful night

After our gorgeous time in Skiddy, Kelby said, I feel sorry for people who don't have family with land in the country. I have to agree that it certainly is a special treat to get to be somewhere so peaceful with the people you love.

  1. I love the expression on Max's face in the gated porch pic (And all of the other ones)! Looks like so much fun!
