Just like everyone is expecting me to say, I can't believe my little boy is already a year old! It seems like just yesterday we were taking him home from the hospital. (Another cliche for you.) We've gone through some scary things in these past 12 months. We've also experienced endless joys.
Tuesday, April 20, 2010. 4:21 a.m.: Born 9 lbs 8 oz, 21.5 in, beat red, and healthy as a horse.
Week 1: We were told he tested positive for Cystic Fibrosis. After a retest that came back with the same results and yet another test that involved electric pulses, we were finally told that he was one of the many babies with a false positive.
One Month
Max is baptized and has his first road trip.
Two Months
We've got a smiler.
Three Months
Changing the world one roll, from front to back, at a time.
Four Months
Workin on that first tooth.
Five Months
Max gets cereal for the first time and there is a tooth sighting!
Six Months
Max visits Lawrence, has two teeth, and can sit up on his own.
Seven Months
Thinkingabout sortofmaybe doing some crawling.
Eight Months
Christmas time. Max has mastered crawling!
Nine Months
Still a skilled crawler, musician, and baby food consumer.
Max starts showing signs of some kind of food allergy.
Ten Months
Flipped carseat, two top teeth, snow suit. Nuff said.
Another skill Max discovered he had much to the terror of his mother!
Eleven Months
A happy 8-toothed baby is he.
He e'en taketh steps from point A to point B.
Almost 12 months....
Don't go, my baby!
1 Year
Can it be that we're already here?
When did your hair grow in so thick?
When did you start talking all the time?
How are you so steady on your feet?
My baby is a little toddler now.
Maxi- I'll eat you up I love you so! Thank you for being such a shining light in our lives! Our vows really have started breathing in you. God has blessed us in many special ways with your bright smile, sweet laugh, and snuggly chubbiness. May you always know how much we love you and may your life be a straight path under God's protective, watchful and caring eye.
