Baby Buffalo

As of 4 pm on the 31st, Kelby and I still had no clue as to what we were going to dress Max as for Halloween. We had tooooooooo many options.

1. Pumpkin -- courtesy of the Suellentrops
2. Squirt (the turtle from Finding Nemo) -- courtesy of the Gilbertsons
3. Puppy -- courtesy of the Gilbertsons
4. Jayhawk -- courtesy of the Beckers
5. Buffalo --courtesy of the Suellentrops

My favorite was the buffalo, but it was a little big and the others were all super cute too! And so we did what any parent would do. We stuffed Max into 5 separate costumes until we could decide on the right one. He cooperated and smiled through the first 3 and then called it quits. In the end we chose the buffalo because it was warm, adorable, and, let's face it, Max is so chubby, it just seemed right.
Jayhawk.
While totally presh, it was a little snug in his nether regions.

Buffalo!
Don't be jealous of our senior-center-style basement furniture!

Max even got a piece of candy!
He didn't eat it...jeez!
I could just hear the overall grumblings of disapproval.

Earlier that day, my (now former) PSR class gave a short saint presentation for the All Saints Day party at church.
We had St. Paul, St. Francis, St. Bernadette, St. Anne, St. Clare, St. Patrick, St. Joan of Arc, St. Catherine of Siena, St. Michael the Archangel, and St. John Bosco.

Happy Halloween,
All Saints Day,
All Souls Day,
 and
Dia de los Muertos!
