is the one word I would use to describe how our family Christmas name drawing went today.
My mom: Should we put Max in the drawing?
Me: No! Everyone should buy him a gift! (joking of course)
Anne (bratty 16-year-old): WhatEVER! You're son's not that special!
Me: Woah!
How providencial that I drew Annie's name.
I hope you like coal, Anne.
Then after Jude (7) drew Joseph (13), Joe said, "Oh great. Another present from Mom and Dad." To which my mom replied with an outcast tongue.
Oh Holiday Season! You certainly bring out the best in people!
This is so reminiscent of me last year. We drew names for the first time for Secret Santa...I spearheaded the name drawing and when asked if Jack would be in it I replied, "No everyone will want to get him something!" I should probably think before I speak sometimes...I really didn't expect EVERYONE to get him something. But, obviously he's not old enough to know one way or the other, so that's what I should've said. ha. :)
