Saturday morning, Kelby and I zipped Max up in his Bundleme and set off for what we thought would be a quick walk to our favorite coffee shop and back home. What greeted us at our destination was a cardboard sign indicating that the shop had closed for the day. Darn those locally owned businesses that can change their hours whenever they want! Determined to find some caffeine, we decided to head back east to Watermark Books. Along the way, we strolled through College Hill Park and the surrounding neighborhood. We looked at the beautiful old homes and I snapped pictures of the gorgeous trees.
I was trying to get a good picture down one of the streets where the trees make a dome from one side to the other. The problem was that every street I looked down there was some hideous 12 passenger van obscuring the otherwise picturesque image. Instead I committed the sight to memory and mentally photoshopped out the vans. Max pretty much slept the entire way which left lots of time for Kelby and I to catch up on being married. The short walk turned into a 3 hour stroll that ended with some overly sweet lattes and lots of quality time.
Best. Saturday. Ever.
