Max is ON THE MOVE

With the phone as bait, I watched as Max leap frog-ed (step 1 of crawling?) his way forward. What happened to my sleepy, always-eating, cuddly little baby? Well, I guess he's still always hungry. But seriously, I feel like he was a newborn for like a millisecond! Before I know it he's going to start getting grass stains and asking to shave! They say you're eased into each new step but I feel like all his milestones are happening one.right.after.the.other. Sheesh!

In other news:
  • Have you noticed how when you have the perfect balance of grocery bags, purse, baby and keys in your arms, something falls and you have to drop it all (not the baby of course--he just slides down a bit) to pick it up? AND it's always at a time when you're rushing to go somewhere, get something cooked, etc. Rushing is the story of my life.
  • I made homemade lasagna and rosemary focaccia for the first time today. I got the recipes from my new favey fave food blog ourbestbites.com. You should check them out.
  • Mrs. P... I mean Ann Patton made the most delish pumpkin muffins today for which I MUST get the recipe! Does anyone else have a hard time breaking the Mr. and Mrs. habit? You know, when you grow up calling someone by Mrs. Smith, por ejemplo, and then as an adult you're told to call them by their first name. I suppose that's one of the difficult adult transitions we have to make.
