Places to Go

Part 2
And ze weenner eez:
(French accent above)

La Galette
French cafe très magnifique!

Located in the history-rich part of Wichita known as the Delano District, this jolie little café is a charming venue for a quaint breakfast or brunch date with a few ladies. A fun fact about, La Galette, is that they're not open on Sundays--the Lord's Day--so there's one good excuse reason to support them! Lunch is their busiest time so I prefer to go in the morning when it's quieter and the quiche is fresh out of the oven!

Which brings me to my favorites:

Ham quiche
&
Tiramisu

Unfortunately for me, my favorite co-diner, stud, husband extraordinaire, and baby daddy is not a fan of any type of egg creation (poo poo) and doesn't really appreciate the "finer things" such as pastries and phyllo dough ruffles, so my trips down to La Galette are few and far between. This is probably for the best as 1 personal size quiche is $5. Alas, it will remain on my "special treats" list and each visit (and bite!) will continue to be relished as if it were my last!

And so I leave you with a mouth-watering image.
Until we meet again, La Galette.
Je t'aime.
